Mohamed L. Kamara Escapes the Agony of Political Torture and Untimely Death

Various reports reaching this Media Practitioner have revealed that Mohamed L. Kamara who hailed from Port Loko district and who was residing at 47 Lady Hall street, Kissy in Freetown,  Sierra Leone was a dignified and influential personality who was serving in the capacity of Social and political Activist advocating  in the interest of the people of Sierra Leone. He was also a member of the main opposition party, All Peoples Congress (APC).Though this ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Government have been accusing him of being an APC operative. Mohamed was engaged into damning and exposing the bad governance of this current PAOPA  Sierra Leone People’s Party(SLPP) Government under the leadership of Julius Maada Bio and at the same time amplifying the outstanding performances of the past APC Government,  under the Leadership of Ernest Bai Koroma.  They say he was comparing the two(2) Regimes in terms of performance and good Governance. Kamara they say has been exposing the human rights violations of Members belonging to the main opposition party(APC), unlawful arrests and detention of APC politicians, members and supporters,  deliberate killings at Tombo, Mile 91, Lunsar, Makeni,  prison massacre, summary dismissal of civil servants perceived to belong to the APC, active implementation of tribalism and nepotism, as the list goes on.  It was revealed by credible sources to this Media House that Stakeholders of the ruling SLPP and Government officials, have been seriously frowning at Mohamed for not just putting the image of their Government into disrepute in Sierra Leone but the Globe as a whole. He has been accused that his advocacy is partisan and his desperate acts to shatter the good performance of their Government have been noted with grave intention to eliminate him. Credible sources acquainted this Journalist that they have been assigning their political thugs and killers on a deadly mission to waste Kamara’s Life for  constantly misbehaving and for not wanting to adhere to the terms put forward, in order for him to desist from blackmailing their Government. Though he was a party card carrier, Mohamed, they say was trying his best to balance his advocacy in the best interest of the populace. 

However,  the advent of the August 10th, 11th and 12th 2022 incidences led to the accusation of Mohamed for having hands in those protests.  SLPP Stakeholders were pinpointing on the fact that since Mohamed L. Kamara was influential and stubborn and the youths are listening to his dictates,  there is every likelihood that he played pivotal role in those politically machinated protests that took the lives of Security personnel including Police Officers and peaceful protesters.  They were also accusing him of having the tendency to create unrest under the disguise of his political fathers. As he was narrowly missed to be shut , he scarily started moving from one undisclosed location to another. This Writer was updated by sources close to the victim that had it not been for his kindness and interaction with his people,  he should have been a dead man and that nobody knows the actual location of Mohamed at the material point in time. 

What made matter worse is the unfortunate accusation of Kamara having hands in the 26th November 2023 attempted  coup. All fingers from the Government officials and party Stakeholders were pointing at Mohamed L. Kamara again.  They were accusing him that he has the heart to do anything evil that will lead to removing the Bio led Government from power.  Reliable sources informed that he was accused of playing dangerous organising roles behind the scenes to ensure that their set objective is achieved. Fortunately for him, they did not know his actual whereabouts and they were not sure whether he was dead or alive because the search to kill him was desperate.  Some were guessing that he was still in hiding within Sierra Leone. Highly confidential source revealed to this Media outlet that Mohamed L.  Kamara clandestinely left the shores of Sierra Leone on the 12th December 2024 for fear of brutal death. And that  both Government and political Authorities have made a rigid and irreversible resolution to secretly waste his Life at anytime and anywhere he is caught within Sierra Leone. Therefore, he was left with no better option other than to flee to unknown destination.
