Chernoh Isata Manuevers Death, left her Family in Shambles

Chernoh Isata Marah, attached at the Head Quarters joint force command, Cockerell barracks on Wilkinson Road, SO2 Welfare and Officer J1 personnel, who attained the rank of a major in the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces(RSLAF), has been vehemently accused by the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) regime, under the watch of President Bio that she has closed alliance with the main opposition party; the All Peoples Congress (APC) during her tenure. Her family lives and herself have been constantly accused of sympathising with the aforementioned main opposition party and that at one point, one of the soldiers prominently known for pioneering the PAOPA’s agenda, destroyed her shop at the Wilberforce barracks courtesy of order from above and when she asked to know the reason for destroying her shop which was purposely constructed to generate income inorder to take care of her family, she was seriously bashed at by her superiors. Conversely, senior officials and party Stakeholders of the PAOPA SLPP Government have been accusing her that the shop was created as a means of spying the activities going on in the barracks and beyond.

According to a reliable source, it was alleged that the attempted coup to overthrow President Bio on 26th November 2023 assembled in the compound of Major Marah and husband at Spur loop, Wilberforce. It was said that their houses were demolished into shambles on 13th December 2024,leaving their siblings in limbo. To make matters worse, it was disclosed that both the Stakeholders of PAOPA regime and fellow soldiers were sending threatening remarks that they will wipe out their whole generation if they dare to try anything stupid to unseat this government. The couple with their five(5) children could not withstand the castigations and start moving with their kids from one undisclosed location to another. Both parents were separately posted to distant locations within the country with restricted movements. As a result of these, struggling kids had to fail their promotional exams.

Information gathered reveal that the brutal killings and confiscation of properties of the two(2) main coup leaders; captain Thamba Lansana Konteh and captain Aiah Aba Senessie on the 26th November 2023 ,orchestrated more terror and broaden the suspicion leading to massive arrest and detention of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) personnel and civilians as well,accusing them to be traitors and sympathisers desperately working on destabilising the Administration of the PAOPA government in Leadership.

Closed sources have revealed to this Writer that baseless accusations against madam Marah and her husband, Major Henry Bassie Turay reached to a dangerous level after the brutal killing of the two(2) main officers that led to the 26th November 2023 failed coup. It was alleged that they have been communicating with those officers as they were their squad mates and close colleagues. Inorder to save their lives, they took to their heeds as their fellow Military personnel and party Stakeholders are severely planning to knock them down. This Media House was able to realize that Major Chernoh Isata Marah finally managed to leave the shores of Sierra Leone on Tuesday 17th December 2024, leaving her devastating family in an undefined location.
