Salieu Narrowly Escaped the Wrath of Death from State Security Personnel

This Media House was intimated that Salieu Bah, who was a graduate from the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) started experiencing misfortune when he sought to do internship at the National Youth Commission (NAYCOM) in 2016. Sources revealed to this Writer that, though he was active into Students Union politics supporting the All Peoples Congress (APC) party, he was friendly to his fellow students and was performing very well in his Academic pursuit. They say he started experiencing medical challenge when he was recommended by the Commissioner at the time to be promoted from Finance Clerk to Finance Officer due to his outstanding performances and requisite qualifications. Salieu Bah was managing the situation which became worse when the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) led Government of President Bio took over the mantle of Leadership in 2018. Salieu they affirmed was set aside due to a strange illness which is believed to be ill- motivated by those not in his favour belonging to the SLPP party that is in Governance.

However, informants that reached out to the Indigenes Newspaper intimated that Salieu was a renowned Youth Activist and Leader of the main opposition party (APC) that was embarking on exposing the human rights abuses, summary dismissals of Civil servants from their respective jobs, unlawful arrests and detention of main opposition Politicians for alleged incitements, unjustified killings of APC Members; among other things, to Sierra Leoneans and the International Community as well. The ruling SLPP Government, according to reliable sources was not pleased with his offensive ways of bashing at them and all eyes were opened, closely watching at him to find him wanting of commiting cyber crime offences or to be accused of causing incitement that will lead to instability. This Writer was also informed that Salieu stopped at nothing in propagating the good image of his party and the development strides they have been making when they were in Governance; at the detriment of lambasting for the ruling SLPP Government who are underperforming. He was even accused of having closed ally with the likes of Hassan Dumbuya, fondly called Evangelist Samson(late Social Media Political Commentator), Amadu Bah who is popularly known as LAJ; a hip hop star ignited a riotous conduct of which Salieu was accused of playing a major role in the riot which led LAJ to prison and that Salieu Bah is a brother to the Artist and others who were bent on blasting heavily for the ruling SLPP Government under the Leadership of President Bio. Salieu Bah was vehemently accused by eye witnesses that he was actively involved in the August 10th 2022 peaceful protest. In fact, it was unearthed that he galvanized Youths that took over the streets of Freetown, demonstrating on the aforementioned excesses against the peaceful Citizens of this Nation who deserve better conditions of service. It was told that Armed State Security Personnel were assigned to wipe them off, of which Evangelist Samson fell victim. Upon hearing that sad and frightening news about the demise of his intimate Comrade and other Comrades, he doubled his steps to leave the shores of Sierra Leone before he could have been shot like a creature. Salieu, they updated that he was no where to be seen in the country as all efforts were made to escape the wrath of death from those deadly State Security Personnel, as some of their colleagues were deliberately killed by Protesters.

By and large, as quite a good number of his fellow Comrades were killed and some held in custody, they say Salieu Bah narrowly escaped the agony of death to unknown destination. It was understood that he finally left the shores of Sierra Leone on Friday 19th August 2022 to a destination not known by anyone.
