Reliable information gathered by this Media Practitioner revealed that the entire family of the late Support Officer, Mohamed Fofanah, attached at the Kamakwei Police station who was brutally killed by angry protesters during the August 10th 2022 peaceful protest which turned out to catastrophe, have been in hidden since that awkward incident occurred. It was updated by credible sources that the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) led Government of His Excellency the President, Retired Brigadier Julius Maada Bio has accused Mary Mariama Gassama nee Koroma who was an active Police Officer; her husband, Alimamy Gassama who was a trained and qualified nurse of having hands in the August 10th 2022 incident because they were working for the past All Peoples Congress(APC) party Government of former President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma. It is said that what made matters worse is the fact that Alimamy was attached at the Kamakwei Government hospital whilst Mary Mariama was actively serving the Sierra Leone Police(SLP).
However, relevant information unearthed by this Writer has disclosed that they have been declared wanted both by the ruling Government and the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) for being perceived of supporting the APC and for also working closely with them, thereby sabotaging their government. Sources close to the couple intimated this Media House that the deceased Support Officer was the step father of Mary Mariama Gassama and tensions escalated when he was publicly killed. The couple should have been also killed on the spot had it not been for their swift maneuvering tactics. They were fast and furious to take to their heeds and scarily started hiding from one undisclosed location to another.
By and large, it was narrated all over the place how desperate politicians and officials of the Bio led administration are, to knock them down dead or alive. They are bent on killing them secretly at any time they are caught within the shores of Sierra Leone. This Media House was reliably informed that both the Police station and barracks were burnt down and cars were also destroyed. Innocent lives were wasted. As the search for them intensified and eagerness to waste their lives took different angles, Mary and Alimamy tightened up their efforts to continue moving cautiously from one unknown location to another undefined destination until they finally left the shores of Sierra Leone on Monday 15th August 2022.
