Alpha Amadu Bah Escapes Untimely Death from Hostile Regime for being vocal

It was reliably informed that Alpha Amadu Bah, who hailed from the Western Urban District of Sierra Leone has been a business man and an influential supporter of the main opposition party, the All Peoples Congress (APC). He was doing business in the Central Business District (CBD) of the Freetown municipality. He was serving as inspiration and hope to his fellow youths over the years. It is based on the fact that quite a good number of his relatives were supporting the APC, therefore he has been accused by the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Government of President Julius Maada Bio for incitement because he was condemning.security breach, unbearable economic hardship, tribalism, regionalism, nepotism and unlawful arrests and detention of APC politicians. Alpha was attacked twice by unknown gunmen at his former residence on 45 Sani Abacha Street. Those horrible attacks were done sometimes in April and June 2023. Information gathered has revealed that his hand was severely damaged, especially on the second attack, which was in June 2023. It was revealed that his blood spilled over the entire area and petty traders doing business along that area closed their businesses, as the scene was terrible. As a supporter of the main opposition party sensitizing and canvassing massive supports for his party, Amadu was all over the place and it was captured that he was always in the forefront when it comes to activities related to sensitizing not only his fellow young people but a large portion of the vulnerable populace and exposing the bad governance of this Regime since they came to power in 2018. Bah, they say was not only blasting the SLPP Government for human rights abuse, summary dismissal of civil servants perceived to belong to the main opposition party, the All Peoples Congress (APC), unlawful arrests and detention of politicians, supporters and members of the APC, killing of Northerners secretly, among others but he was also actively involved in sensitizing not only his colleagues but Grassroots people residing in his community and even beyond. Due to those crucial roles he was playing, his presence automatically served as a threat to Government stakeholders, party superiors and even Grassroots members belonging to the ruling SLPP. Another reliable source updated this Writer that Honourable Chernoh Ramadan Bah who had served for over two consecutive terms as Minority Speaker of Parliament and who had served as two-time running mate for the main opposition party, APC. It was alleged by the ruling Government that Alpha Amadu Bah was using those political connections that he had to create unrest in the country. Reliable information reaching this Media Practitioner revealed that Alpha Amadu has been facing severe harassment, intimidations and castigations from different angles within the hostile Government and party Stakeholders. Those life threatening incidences prompted the vocal young man to be secretly and frightenedly moving from one undisclosed location to another in order to save himself from unexpected confrontations, leading to untimelydeath.This Writer was made to understand that Bah’s Dad, Mohamed Bah was killed during a Presidential campaign in Bo district in 2017/2018 Presidential election. and that his uncle Ibrahim Bah was a serving Police Officer attached to the security force of the former President, Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma.

However, the investigative strides of this Media House revealed that Corporal Eddie Conteh is believed to have been shot right inside the compound of former President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma and all fingers were pointing at Alpha Amadu by the SLPP led Government to have hands in the August 10th 2022 peaceful demonstration that turned out to be a massacre which led to loss of lives of Security personnel and a huge number of civilians. They added that Alpha’s name has been written on both the Police Wanted list behind the scenes and the List done by the party thugs to clandestinely waste his life, either dead or alive when caught anywhere within Sierra Leone. Information gathered by this Press has disclosed that Police Officers and Military personnel attacked Bah and it was unfortunate that he was putting on a red t-shirt at the time. They wasted no time to lock him up at the central police station for several days before been released. He was severely tortured during his confinement, following the election in June 2023. According to reliable sources, that horrible incident occurred at the party’s headquarters. The place they chose as safe haven at the time. Tear gas cannisters with live bullets were fired at innocent party members and supporters by the Police and unknown gunmen. Some APC members and supporters were shot and killed while some were severely injured. Due to irresistible pressure, they say Bah was forced to relocate to undefined location in the Western Urban for fear of being killed.

In conclusion, Alpha Amadu Bah became more determined and cautious, finding his way out of the shores of Sierra Leone. This Writer unearthed that he was slightly missed to be killed by unknown gunmen on his way out of the country.This regime is desperate to get rid of Amadu as he has been termed as one of the influential enemies of the State. It was revealed that he struggled his way out of the shores of Sierra Leone to unidentified destination on Wednesday, 10th January 2024.
