Alfred Sissoko Sankoh Nearly Killed by Police Officers, Escapes the Agony of Death

It was revealed to this Writer that Alfred Sissoko Sankoh, who was residing at the Kingtom Police Barracks with his wife, Marie Sesay was a strong member of the main opposition party,the All Peoples Congress (APC). He has been constantly exposing the excesses of this PAOPA government led by His Excellency, Retired Brigadier Julius Maada Bio, since they came to power in 2018. Issues related to unlawful arrests and detentions of the main opposition members and supporters; summary dismissal of civil servants perceived to belong to the APC; extra judicial killings of members and supporters of the main opposition party ; burning of houses of APC politicians; referring to APC politicians as “Ayampes”; among other things. He has been undertaking this dangerous task through community engagements and various social media platforms. It was updated that, it was on this backdrop that the ruling PAOPA government have been seeing him as not only an inciter but also as someone who has been working relentlessly to cause mayhem in the country. Therefore, messages of threats and violent attacks started hitting Sissoko very hard. 

However,  this Media House was told that Alfred Sissoko Sankoh was staying with his late uncle, Abu Bakarr Turay, who was one of the Police Officers that was badly killed during the August 10th peaceful protest which turned out to be a brutal encounter.  His late uncle, they say was a strong member of the APC in disguise and was pursuing the ideals of the party, despite being a Police Officer working for the government of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP). Reliable sources have disclosed that, apart from the fact that he was a security personnel working for this PAOPA government,  he was also an influential person, not only in the Force for Good but also in the APC party.  

Most importantly, this Writer was able to gather information from reliable sources that Alfred has huge followings, not only within the young generation but also among the aged. Due to this fact, when youths took to the streets, starting from the far East on August 10th ,2022, Sissoko was strongly accused as one of the pioneers of that deadly incident which led to loss of lives and properties. Though the motive of the said peaceful protest was for the unbearable economic hardship, young people were accused of been sent by APC politicians to create national unrest,  of which Sissoko with his late uncle were vehemently accused of collaborating with the young generation to create unrest in the capital city. Information reaching this Media Practitioner  revealed that after the death of his uncle,  Alfred was at home with his wife when they heard an aggressive sound on the door commanding them to open the door.  It was said that a group of people holding guns and machetes  aggressively bumped into them and started beating Sankoh mercilessly and took him to an ambulance. Consciousness, according to sources closed to them, took place inside the Pademba Road prison.  Alfred, they say, was not even allowed to say anything,  devoid of the severe pains he was feeling. He was  shocked and dismay when he realized that he had been imprisoned. The 26th November 2023 attempted coup only made the situation worse for Alfred Sissoko Sankoh with his family. On that dreadful day when Pademba Road prison was broken, he was fortunate to escape and started hiding from one undisclosed location to another. All efforts were put in place by Police Officers, SLPP party stakeholders, and the government to wipe off Alfred if seen anywhere within Sierra Leone. Upon getting such intelligence, Sissoko intensified his move to escape untimely death in the hands of those heartless authorities and finally left the shores of Sierra Leone on the 1st December 2023 to undefined destination.
