Abdulai Babah Escapes Untimely Death for being a Gay

Abdulai Babah Keita, who was residing in Koidu City, Eastern province of the Republic of Sierra Leone, they say narrowly, escaped the wrath of death from fanatic Islamic Scholars for being a gay. Sources closed to Keita revealed that Abdulai ran from harsh and brutal persecution he faced due to his sexual orientation, not only from members of the community where he was residing, but also from his parents, especially his Dad who was an ardent Islamic Scholar, Muezzin leading Muslim in prayers. It was disclosed that the people living within the Lebanon community in Kono District were frowning at gays and homosexuality and were bent on punishing anyone caught in such an uncultured act. In fact, this Writer was updated that a Bye-Law was passed to give Life imprisonment to anyone found wanting in an act they were referring to as an abomination to the Land and it must be abolished. It was also told that Abdulai could not further his Education to the Senior School or High School after he had completed Primary Education due to fear for his Life. The reason forwarded was fear to be castigated because he is a gay and that he did not want to lose his Life. The Secondary School they say was dominated by Muslim pupils who were desperate to eliminate any male pupil suspected to even being a gay, let alone confirming it and it was a Muslim dominated School. This Writer, in an exclusive interview with reliable sources was updated that Keita was in a secret gay relationship with Johnson Cole and they have been into such a relationship for quite a while . They have been into the secret relationship.On the 25th December 2017, which was on a Christmas, Keita immediately escaped from untimely death posed by community members, after he was captured and mercilessly beaten by the youths and ran to the bush but Johnson was unfortunate to be caught. He was mercilessly beaten to death.

However, it was revealed that when Abdulai’s father got the news that his son is a gay, he annoyingly asked him to leave his house or else he would be either handed over to the Police for cruel action to be taken against him or he would be poisoned to end the shame and disgrace he has put his family into. Abdulai’s Father, Pa Sorie Keita who was the Imam at the Mosque ended up committing suicide after he had been relieved off his duty when his son’s bad conduct spread all over the township. It is said that everyone in the family and the community where he was residing were desperate to kill him. He has been running helter-skelter from one undisclosed location to another for fear of untimely death. The situation was deadly and his people were determined to wipe him off from the family so that he would not be associated to them.

Conclusively, this Media Practitioner captured that Abdulai Babah Keita finally left Sierra Leone out of fear for his Life and lack of social justice to an unknown destination. It was revealed that since 25th December 2017 when he disappeared, nobody knows his whereabouts up to this moment. They are pinpointing that homosexuality must be abolished at all cost and Abdulai been a vital Member, must face death.
