Former District Chairman of APC & Head of NaTCOM Killed in a Gruesome Road Accident

Reliable information reaching this Media Practitioner has revealed that the former District Chairman, Koinadugu District of the main opposition party, All Peoples Congress (APC) fondly called the “buldozer” and also the Chairman, National Telecommunications Company (NaTCOM), now NaTCA,Momoh Konteh was allegedly killed,with two(2) other senior executive members of the said party; Alakuma Conteh and Saio Marah on their way to Freetown.
This media house was updated that the awkward incident occurred at Kathenkena, a mile from Binkolo, Bombali District. The sorrowful but fatal incident occurred on the 5th of July, 2020. Those three(3) great team players and heroes of the APC died in cold blood. They were laid to rest on Friday, 10th July 2020, in Kabala town, Koinadugu District.

Eye witnesses confided to this Writer that Momoh Konteh has been targeted by the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Government of President Bio for organising massive unauthorised meetings intended to insight party fanatics against their Government. Since they came to power in 2018, Momoh Konteh has been pointing fingers at for the massive mobilisation and supports he has been rendering to party members and supporters in various town hall meetings. He and two(2) other political giants died in a gruesome accident, leaving from Kabala to Makeni. It was alleged that the accident was well orchestrated by the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Government, under the Leadership of President Bio. It was so, based on his massive mobilisation of Party members and supporters to register and vote the hostile PAOPA Administration out of power in June 2023 multitier elections. Party stalwarts in a Press Release disclosed that he was a political philanthropist who was greatly helping and encouraging deprived Party members and supporters to stay in the main opposition party, the All Peoples Congress (APC). He used to say it is the only party they have and that it is the only genuine political entity that means well for the people of this country. The late political heavyweight has been accused of all major peaceful protests being staged in Sierra Leone. Recent of all was the August 10th peaceful protest, which turned out to be a bloody confrontation. It is said that within his district and beyond, the late man was highly loved and celebrated by everyone for his kindness and love for the party and humanity. His level of interaction has no boundary, and he was highly respected for his grassroots approach when it comes to canvassing members to go out in numbers to register and vote for the APC.

By and large, credible sources have revealed to this Media Practitioner that it was due to those instrumental roles played by the late District Chairman that led to his early demise. Some are saying the tire of the vehicle was fired by unknown gun men when in motion on the highway; some are alleging that macenaries were hired to knock the political giant down.
